Some Original Dave Gibbons Watchmen Sketches

Here are some recent arrivals to the Little Shop, and though I'm always open to offers, I've yet to decide if I actually want to sell these, as they're rather marvellous.

The Comedian, Doctor Manhattan and Rorschach, as drawn by Watchmen co-creator and all-round lovely gent Dave Gibbons, at the UKAC comics convention in the mid-90s.

Hurm!

UPDATE: SIGH. IT TURNS OUT I WAS HAD. CONFIRMATION FROM AN IMPECCABLE SOURCE IN THE COMMENTS BELOW.

  1. Gosh, that's tempting! I used to collect original comic artwork and managed to acquire some of Johnny Hicklenton's Judge Dredd & Nemesis stuff. I still love this kind of artwork. Thanks for sharing them.

  2. Hate to say this, but this doesn't look like Dave Gibbons's work. They're copies done by someone else, by the looks of them. Even the signatures look copied.

    1. Ah well, if something's too good to be true, it usually is. I bought them from a seller in Australia, who told a believable tale, complete with photocopies of the UKAC programme in question. More fool me. Many thanks Dave, for your confirmation.
